Many have been inspired by the phrase from Civil Rights Legend, Representative John Lewis, “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble”. This year, the Manasota Young Democrats are kicking off the 2022 election season with the Second Annual Zooming in on the Issues Fundraiser! The evening’s theme will be Good Trouble: The Declaration of Independence to Now.

Our featured speakers include Nikki Fried, Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services; Andrew Warren, State Attorney for Hillsborough County; Dr. Janelle Christensen, President of the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida; and Tracey Washington, Chair of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition in Manatee County.

All funds raised will go towards our work in the 2022 electoral cycle. We have an awesome panel of Good Troublemakers to talk to us about how they got into some Good Trouble and how we can mobilize ahead of the 2022 Elections.
